Gift Processing & Data Specialist

Role Summary
The Gift Processing & Data Specialist provides database and gift-processing support in collaboration with the Development Team to meet fundraising goals. This role coordinates with the Finance Team and is responsible for detail-oriented tasks in Raiser’s Edge NXT, the use of various giving platforms, and includes timely and accurate data entry, database maintenance, and gift back-ups and acknowledgment. This role is responsible for upholding gift acceptance and pledge handling policies.
This is a hybrid-remote position that generally requires 3 in-office days in Northeast Portland, Oregon, each week. This fluctuates depending on operating needs and supports after-hours and off-site events as necessary.
Job Responsibilities
• Review, verify, and process pledges, event contributions, gifts-in-kind, data imports, grants, matching gifts as well as DAF, stock, and wire transfers.
• Ensure accurate gift revenue and reconciliation in collaboration with Finance team.
• Update donor records and relationships based on gift information, staff communication, returned mail, and research.
• Set up and maintain giving platforms, including complex event management tools.
• Produce donor acknowledgement letters, receipts, pledge reminders/invoices, and giving statements. Work with frontline team for special handling.
• Generate pledge reminders according to installment schedules, and alert Frontline team for additional follow up on outstanding pledges.
• Provide exceptional donor-relations services with professional communications.
• Respond to data requests in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Database Manager on customized campaign and forecasting dashboards.
• Follow current industry best practices and maintain procedural and policy documentation.
Experience
• Minimum of HS diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of CRM, gift processing and related experience in a development role
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Recent experience with Raiser's Edge NXT CRM, pivot tables, queries, Omatic Cloud, Power Automate, and database best practices
• Demonstrated nonprofit gift services experience handling large data volumes.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently. Available for occasional early morning, evening, and weekend work for events and high-volume periods.
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
• Expertise in database queries and exports, use of AI and other emerging tools.
• Experience with donation and event bidding platforms like Greater Giving.
